Gaffer’s tape

If there are a thousand uses for duct tape, there are a thousand and one for gaffer’s tape, which is easier to manipulate and tearable by hand.  Dad introduced me to this nifty little product named for movie gaffers.  (What is a “gaffer”, anyway?  And while we’re at it, what’s a “best boy”?  I am pretty sure these guys all work in electrical or lighting on movies and in theater, but beyond that, I have no idea.)

Permacel Gaffer’s Tape.  Better write your name in Sharpie on the inside of the roll or it will disappear.  This stuff is that good.

  1. Also with gaffing tape it doesnt leave a residue behind which is good for sets that are rented. No one wants to be scraping off adhesive residue.
